YakAttack SideStage Pro Rod Rack with LockNLoad Bases

About the YakAttack SideStage Pro Rod Rack with LockNLoad Bases

The SideStage Pro is YakAttack's take on a horizontal rod stager, with the innovation and adjustability you'd expect from YakAttack. Sold as a pair, it comes with everything you need to stage and secure up to three rods. It's a good option for kayaks with a bow-mounted motor or pedal drive, where off-the-side horizontal staging keeps three rods within easy reach.

The Pro differs from the standard SideStage only in how it attaches to your track. It mounts with YakAttack's LockNLoad system, adding vertical adjustability not found on the base model, and like every LockNLoad product it connects and disconnects quickly from the track base and pivots a full 360 degrees.

The SideStage introduces the ClickTrac Rail System. Teeth on the top and bottom of each rail let you attach, adjust and remove accessories at the push of a button: press the orange button on the track mount, slide the rail through the clamp, and release to lock it in place. The same process adjusts the rail's overhang.

Each ClickTrac Rail carries three FlipGrips that slide along the rail; press the orange release button to reposition them. The FlipGrip has three positions: Open, for simple rod staging; Closed, where a rubber band stretches over the rod to apply positive pressure on a range of rod diameters; and Locked, where a locking lever flips over the retention lever for extra security. It applies the same pressure to rod butts and tips, and also holds a paddle, stakeout pole, or any tool up to 1.25 inches in diameter. Injection-molded from UV-stabilized polymers, the FlipGrip is built to last in harsh marine environments.
