The SideStage is YakAttack's horizontal rod stager, sold as a pair with everything you need to stage and secure up to three rods. It is a good option for pedal drive and motored kayaks, especially with bow-mounted motors, where vertical rods don't make sense. The SideStage is the base, low-profile model: it attaches to your kayak's GearTrac with a ClickTrac Rail adapter and clamp using a MightyBolt and Track Disc, and mounts horizontally only (no vertical articulation).

The ClickTrac Rail System lets you attach, adjust, and remove accessories with the push of a button. Press the orange button on the track mount to slide the rail through the clamp and set the overhang; release it and the rail locks in place. Each ClickTrac Rail carries three FlipGrips that slide along the rail at the press of their orange release button.

The FlipGrip has three positions: Open, for use as a simple rod stager; Closed, where the retaining lever stretches a rubber retention band over the rod for positive pressure on varying rod diameters; and Locked, using the front locking lever for extra security. It holds rod butts and tips alike and also works with a paddle, stakeout pole, or any tool up to 1.25" in diameter. FlipGrips are injection-molded from UV-stabilized polymers for years of use in harsh marine environments.
